My appointment went as expected and quicker then expected.
For now my contacts bring my Left eye to 20/30 and my Right Eye to 20/20. Things are going well in terms of my vision.
The threat of progression of my Keratoconus in my Right eye remains as does the rejection of the cornea graft in my Left Eye but for the time being I’m in really good shape again. My next appointment is in six months.
Today I am one month away from reaching the one year mark since my cornea transplant. While I still have four sutures remaining I should have two remaining by the time that the milestone arrives.
My next appointment is January 9 at which point I will have two more sutures removed leaving two remaining.
So I’m out on my walk and it occurred to me that this New Years will be the first time in ages that I won’t be having real champagne.
Giving that I’m still recovering from my cornea transplant and still on anti rejection drops I refuse to let anything put me at risk of rejection and that means no alcohol. Maybe in 2019 will be different.
Only four more sutures to go!
So on the rare occasion my right eye needs a dose of artificial tears eye drops for some reason it’s sooooo much more difficult to put them in compared to the left for some reason I get nervous and accuracy becomes hard lo.
Sucks dealing with poor vision until it’s absorbed
Had my appointment and am pleased to report that it went smoothly and had two more sutures removed which means that only four more sutures remains 🙂
Eye pressure is going down so my anti rejection drops got raised to two times a day. Overall a good sign of progress
Tuesday is my next appointment and hopefully I will get good news. I will be getting two more sutures removed and should only have four left. Other than an unusually dry day I have been fine so far so not expecting anything bad
For the first time and hopefully the last my left eye has been rather dry. I’d use my artificial tears drops only to need more about 25 minutes later. I even had to stop what I was doing at my temp work to get the drops in. While I value my work the safety of my eyes is more important.
Keeping a close eye on any redness appearing in the eye and will be leaving for the Wolfe eye clinic pronto but so far so good only seems dry:
So today while on a walk I decided to see how my vision of my left eye is at and in doing so I discovered that the vision of my left eye makes colors slightly darker than my right eye.
Just happened to see myself in a mirror and happened to notice that my left eye doesn’t open up nearly as much as my right eye unless I open wide.
This admittingly minor detail has zero effect on my outlook on how things went so far.
Two sutures down and six to go. While healing is going great the primary side effect of the predinisolone eye drops has struck so they switched it to a milder version and I only have to take it once a day.
Still overall went well for me in the end.
